Use WhatsApp
A couple of tips on WhatsApp. It is easy to accidentally make a phone call instead of sending a message so here are a couple of tips.
Down the bottom of the first screen are some icons (see the image to the left)
Make sure you have chats showing as blue. If you have the little phone symbol as blue, that’s when you accidentally make a call. The other thing to remember is that the chosen icon stays there until you change it. So if you are calling someone remember to switch it back to chats after. The other important point is to make sure you are in the correct group. It’s very easy to send a message or a call to the last group you were in instead of choosing the correct one. I’ve done it.
Just a reminder that the Grove Communications WhatsApp group is for conveying helpful information to other residents. It is not for jokes etc.
Group phone calls are also causing problems for lots of residents. If you receive a call, just ignore it. Don’t join the group.
If we don’t get it right, people will leave the group and then it becomes useless.
When you are using WhatsApp make sure you are in the right group, especially if you also use it for family or friends. And make sure you are using Chats not Calls.
