Link your phone to Door Opening Unit

You can link your phone to your internal video door opening panel. This allows you to open your door using your phone. You can do this while you are inside your unit or even when you are out and about. I have received calls when I was overseas.

All the information is in the bticino manual you should have received when you moved in but it is hard to find the information and a bit convoluted.

So hopefully this simplifies it.

There are 2 parts to the setup, one is on the video panel near your front door and the other is setting up the app on your phone. I will attach the relevant pages here but for more information, refer back to the manual.

Enabling call forwarding to smartphones

  1. Make sure your video unit is connected to your wi fi

  2. On the Panel in your apartment enable call forwarding either to nominated smart phones just in your home (i.e. on the same wifi) or to smartphones on a different wifi. You do this by clicking on the symbol in the top right hand area of the panel. It is the one next to the wi fi symbol. Read the pages from the manual for clarification.

  3. Connect your phone by downloading the DOOR ENTRY APP. Scan the QR code below then follow the instructions on your phone. (If one doesn't work try the other. The headings seem to be the wrong way around for me.)
